Business Intelligence Compendium:What we are not

The Business Intelligence Compendium is not Wikipedia. Wikipedia lives on contributions from visitors that “do not need specialized qualifications to contribute”[1]. The Business Intelligence Compendium tries to cover in depth information about business intelligence that does not belong in a standard encyclopaedia. Nevertheless, what is considered expert knowledge today, might become common knowledge tomorrow. Therefore a limited overlap between the Business Intelligence Compendium and Wikipedia can be foreseen.

We are not one of the many business intelligence portals that publish mostly personal and often sponsored opinions/articles, managed by an editor who is measured by the amount of subscriptions.

We are not a BI forum or BI blog to post or discuss personal views. The Business Intelligence Compendium tries to obtain one version of the truth, one common view on all aspects of business intelligence.
